I just bought an 20" iMac in October, and from what I read is Apple is releasing Leapord in October. I want to upgrade my Harddrive, Memory, and Ram. The thing is im not too computer shabby. Does apple upgrade these? I am sure they will charge but I will be willing to pay because I do not want to void my warranty. I couldn't find it on their website, so im not sure if they do.

Here is my defualt Setup:

So can anyone tell me what I need to make the most out of my mac (whithout voiding warranty).

Just out of curiosity, if you aren't computer savvy* enough to know that 'memory' and 'RAM' refer to the same thing, what is it that's making you want to upgrade them...?

i'd say upgrade the ram first. OS X is much snappier with at least 2 gb of ram. as MJ has pointed out, you can upgrade the ram yourself without voiding the warranty.

as for the hard drive, you are pretty much okay as long as you have at least 10% of free space. once you tap into that 10%, OS X tends to get less and less responsive. you may want to consider an external hard drive if you aren't really computer savvy.

ha! i was impressed that the OP actually took snapshots of the screen!
