When doing an upgrade from Lion on a 2012 MBP with an SSD as main drive and HDD in OptiBay, are the symlinks for user folders like Documents, Music, Pictures, Downloads, etc preserved without issue? Specifically, I have my data files on the HDD like many here with symlinks on the SSD in the user's folder to the HDD and want to know if that will cause any problems or require extra steps when going the upgrade path?

With an upgrade, I'm thinking maybe. It all should point to the same symlink that is already there. If not, a quick symlink should fix everything.

I'll find out tomorrow (too). I have a 64G SSD with OS and Apps installed and I have ~mwhities/Downloads symlinked to /Volume/MacMiniSata/Downloads on a 750G 7200 RPM sata drive.

Good luck.

Anybody finding anything out on this - I know there are a lot of people on here with dual drives in the same sort of config.

I'm currently at work and installing ML on my MacBook. As soon as I get home, I'll install it on my MacMini and report back once it's finished.
