Hi, I was thinking to order the base model of MacPro and see if it can do my stuff.
I basically use 2 x LG 4K HDR monitors and edit on FCPX - multicam 4K streams.

I will first test the base model and in case its not not enough, can I upgrade the RAM, storage and graphics myself without paying a premium to Apple ?
So lets say I have 32GB Apple RAM. Can I make it 64GB by installing Crucial DDR4-2933 32GB/4Gx72 ECC/Reg CL21 Server Memory CT32G4RFD4293 ?

AND FOR THE GRAPHICS, can I get ASUS Radeon RX Vega 64
8GB and install it ?

Yes you can upgrade the ram. I'm not sure if those chips are the right ones (ram specs confuse me).

You can also add extra storage, there are several options on that such as a simple NVME and caddy, or things like the Sonnett 4x4 M2.

You can add a graphics card but it needs to be compatible with metal.

@SayCheese - thanks for your reply.
I see you have a base model MacPro.
Could you please confirm, if its powerful enough for 4K editing and rendering or its slow with multiple streams ?

I upgraded my base model MP 7,1 to 28 Cores W-3275M and RAMs to 384GB with Micron 64GB*4 LR-DIMM MTA72ASS8G72LZ-2G9D3VI (Black PCB). As I know the Micron RAMs is Apple offical provided to customer who Mac Pro over 192GB RAMs from Apple Store.

As far as I know, nobody tested Vega 64 on board.
