Hi!

I'm wanting to upgrade my OS from tiger to snow leopard but have heard that with a PC, it's better to totally install a new OS rather than just upgrade. Is this the same with macs? Or is upgrading problem free?

I would honestly do a fresh install. This ensures no errors happen and you get the best possible performance....

But you don't have to... But i would recommend it!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

You can go from tiger to snow leopard.

I've done with several of my laptops and a few friends without any problems. I've heard of others have problems though.

Back up, install as an upgrade and run updates. If you have no issues then keep going with it. If you have issues, go with a fresh install.
