Upgrade price to m4pro

Has anybody an idear why the upgrade from the m4 10 core to the m4pro 12 core with the same amount of ram and storege costs 200$ by the macbook pro and 400$ by the mac mini?

Only reason i can see is that Apple likes money.

I don’t remember the price of the m2 16/512 to m2 pro 16/512 mini , I just remember it was so low and a no brainer to get the pro , now at $400 that’s a big no for me
