So I purchased my iPhone 7 Plus almost two years ago. I purchased it on apples upgrade program and have been paying about $45 a month for it. I was due for an upgrade a while ago but the 8 and X just didn’t seem worth the upgrade to me. The Xs max is tempting me but I am wondering what it will cost me and what the difference is between the upgrade program I am currently on and the payment plan that Apple lists on their website?

One states an xs max 256gb is $60 a month for 24 months. Basically the plan I am on now but a lot more money.

The other plan is $52 a month for 24 months but upgrade eligible after 12 months with trade in.

I’d like to get into an xs max for similar monthly to what I’m at now but unsure how much out of pocket it would take plus trade in and what payment plan to select if I did so.

Not sure but it seems like the first option is the upgrade program and the other is just financing, meaning you would not be upgrade eligible after 12 months. The 8ish per month difference is AppleCare.

You need to get the names of the plan your in and the plans on Apple’s website.

They have an iPhone upgrade program, 24 months (20 in U.K.) that lets you upgrade half way though if you return the device. Cost is the phone + AppleCare.

They have the iPhone payments plan this is also over 24 (20 in UK) months. No option to upgrade but cost is just the value of the device spread over the term less deposit.

Is your plan from Apple or a carrier?
