Hi,

I see lots of threads on how to update the storage on older iPods like the mini and classic. Anyone attempted to upgrade the storage on the 6th or 7th gen iPod nanos? 16GB is just not enough, otherwise they're great MP3 players!

Cheers,
Jonny

The new devices like the iPhones,Nano,Touch,Shuffle have the storage NAND chip soldered on the logic board which makes it impossible to bump its storage.

Older iPods didn't have the NAND storage chips, instead used tiny hard drives that now can upgrade to larger hard drives or flash cards.

Code:
iPod Minis:
MicroDrive to Compact Flash or SD Card

iPod Classics:
Hard Drive to Compact Flash, SD Card, mSATA, or SSD board adapter
