Currently, My iMac is on Mavericks 10.9.5. When Yosemite was first available, I downloaded the installer (10.10.0) but did not install. Now 10.10.1 becomes available and I am considering direct upgrade to 10.10.1 from Mavericks. Do I need to upgrade to 10.10.0 first then to 10.10.1? Is the 10.10.1 from Apple Store a complete installer?

If the 10.10.0 file that you have is still usable :
then install 10.10 first and then ota to 10.10.1

otherwise download yosemite again. It will be 10.10.1 direct..

You could do it either way.

If you still have the 10.10 installer, you could use that to install yosemite and then get the 10.10.1 delta update from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1779 which is only 311.8 MB and use it to update.

Otherwise, you can get the full installer again from the mac app store - which would now be a full installer for 10.10.1, but that is 5.17 GB.

So it would be quicker for you to install 10.10 and update to 10.10.1 rather than wait for the 5.17 GB to download again.

Thanks everyone!

I think I will upgrade to 10.10.0 then update to 10.10.1.
