Upgrade to 12.2.1 caused my new 16" M1 Pro battery to drain faster...

Hi.

I have a new 16' M1 Pro which was amazing under 12.2. When I upgraded to 12.2.1 a week ago, the battery life got significantly worse. It is now going down at 2x the speed. I tried to see if I could downgrade back to 12.2, but it requires using time machine to back up files first and then reinstalling the software.

Are there any other fixes for this? Should I expect that since 12.2.1 clearly caused the problem (there were no other changes in usage/files), that the next Mac OS update will fix the problem?

there's no problems with 12.2.1 as far as i can see.
you could always back up your ‘home’ folder to a usb.
use the 'erase' facility in system preferences, then go again.
you’ll have a brand new-like mac to start with.
next, connect to your wifi, reinstall all your apps and data.

a simple solution may be to run kext utility and then restart your mac.
