upgrade to 2.0 or wait bit more for apps to work?

ok i know lot of people that jailbreak/unlock now that the 2.0 pwnage is out..

now my question is..?

if i update to 2.0 pwnage now all ill be getting is the app store to work ?

what are some apps that work on 2.0 that is not a app store app?

im not sure if i should go with 2.0 now because not much of the apps work..not that i know of..
anyone have a list of what work and not?

about how long would it take for most apps to work on 2.0?

right now there are 3 apps and "hacks" that work for the average user:
openSSH
TZones for tmobile
and NES.

the rest are for developers to use.

im sure most of the people are porting apps as im posting right now. it'll take a few weeks for the rest of them to work prbly.
if u want the 2.0 goodness w/ an unlocked phone (super monkey ball, facebook, push email, chinese input, etc) then this is worth it for u.
but if u dont care about the app store and u like the other programs from 1.1.4.
keep ur old firmware.

as for open ssh..i know that SMBprefs dont work..and i would like to change/mod icons..will copying/overwriting the default theme work ..i do have some themes i download and wondering if i was able to just ssh and overwiter it...will that work?

i wouldn't do it.
i attempted it. the theme didnt work and then my slider images went invisible.
it was cool and all that... but the invisibility started to bug me.
so i reverted to backup.

maybe i did somethign wrong. i dunno.

the only "2.0 goodness" i'm interested in is 802.11x support which i don't urgently need right now, so i'll hold back for awhile.


side question: i used iLiberty+ on my iphone 1.0 and never used pwnage tools before, so i'm not very familiar with the process. however, from the tutorial for pwnage 2.0, it seems that we will use iTunes to "restore" our phone with a customized firmware. so, does this mean that all my musics and videos will be intact? (iLiberty+ wiped them all when i updated from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4)

I did it- 1st Gen => 2.0 IPSW pwnage. Though there are limited Cydia apps right now, they do work (TZones for me). All the Apps Store will work, no problem. Not sure where you get they won't.

If I am mistaken, let me know. But I have a few running- Remote is sweet, in fact, when my wife saw that, she MADE me up her phone to 2.0, too.

Wait - IMO it's not worth taking the time. Can't even use wallpaper for a background. Maybe by the time the apps will be ready, there will be an updated pwnage anyway. Or, Apple will release an update and make us all redo this.
