Upgrade to iOS 10 messed up my Camera Roll

I'm on version 10.0.1 with iPhone 6S Plus.

My Camera Roll has completely disappeared, and has now been replaced with "All Photos" which does include all my photos from Camera Roll, but it also includes all photos I've transferred over from my computer. They're completely out of chronological order, pictures I've taken a year ago are very recent, and pictures I've taken within the last week are behind those.

Also, interestingly enough I found over 3,000 photos in the "recently deleted" folder, which I didn't do and I have restored back so they don't permanently delete.

How can I fix? Anyone else experience something similar?

Should I restore from my original iOS 9 backup?

When I upgraded to the 7 my pictures showed up out of order as well. They are still in the 'camera roll' folder but are no longer in chronological order. Kinda annoying and I'm not sure what to do about it...

Hmm, my camera roll was perfect in iOS 9. Now in iOS 10, I attempted to turn off iCloud Photo Library + Storage Optimization and it says I don't have enough space.

I guess I don't mind that, I just don't like how its completely out of chronological order.
