Currently I am on 4.2.6 (Verizon) and untethered. I upgraded my iPod touch 4 to the new 5.0.1 and it's currently jailbroken. I love the new features and don't mind it being tethered. I find myself downloading (and looking) from Cydia to replicate some of these new features on my iPhone.

I've heard people say to *STAY AWAY* from 5.0.1. Is it because they're only working on an untethered jailbreak for 5.0?

What are my disadvantages to upgrading to 5.0.1?

Bingo. They're only working on 5.0 to be untethered.
