For some, life moves forward in its infinite complexity, and with many challenges that make us stronger and better people. We embrace the change.

Other people are left behind to be trolls that never evolve, losers in the competition that is life.

Or did you have a computer question?

This forum does not represent the majority experience of users on OS X 10.8. It represents a set minority of users who have visited this forum to ask for extra help troubleshooting issues on 10.8. People who have not experienced issues are much less likely to seek this forum out and post here.

Well, your question was a little lame. If people based what they did on what they read here, they would never even buy an Apple computer. You make assumptions that are unreasonable and then ask a question based on those assumptions. Just deserts, I say....

I downloaded ML, put it on a flash drive, backup up a few files to external hard drive, re-formatted my laptop, clean installed ML from the flash drive, entered Apple ID, entered e-mail settings, re-installed a few apps from the app store, copied back over the files from the hard drive and was done.

And, ML works better than good on my late '08 MacBook Pro.

Seems great to me. Things move forward...can't stay on old OS's forever.

I'd venture to say most people don't have issues with ML and it's installation process, even when clean installing. Doing the upgrade over an older version over OSX is even easier than what I did.
