Have installed yosemite but have a few issues

1. Intermittent wifi - sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes have to wait 10 minutes - have tried two solutions (new location / delete prefs) but its still a joke

2. Power button no longer sleeps - not sure if this is a new feature?

3. On start up, defaults to secondary screen - which is my TV behind me so now I have to unplug the hdmi out of my tv when I'm done using it / or, turn tv on - go to hdmi 4 / login. (Changing 'arrangement' in display prefs does nothing - it defaults to the second screen).

I have a back up off my mountain lion boot , can I revert back to this? Will it mess things up? Is there anyway I can upgrade to mavericks as I've heard it's not a buggy pile of crap like yosemite? We're can I get a .dmg of it?

1. 10.10.2 supposedly fixed the wifi issue.

2. Power button turns off screen now. I THiNK it can be changed. I haven't looked into this.

3. When in display arrangement, drag the menu bar to the display you wish to be primary. That will make it your primary display. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425405771.470852.jpg

If you have not made changes to your files, you could just restore your system to your ML backup. Mavericks is available in the App Store AFAIK. Have you looked into it to download?

Migration assistant shouldn't work from a Yosemite backup to an older OS X version.

You have to hold the button for about half a second, but it will sleep. If you hold Ctrl while doing that, it'll bring up the menu.

Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks DMGs are included the downloaded app, which will still show on the Purchases tab of the App Store. You can use DiskMakerX to make a bootable USB drive to revert. I have not downgraded and tried to restore my personal data from a Time Machine backup before, and it may not work that well.

No power button doesn't work at half sec/two secs - after three secs I get the dialogue.

In :apple:/about this mac/energy efficiency it states 'power button sleeps = yes'

So the options in about this mac but not in system prefs / energy saving

Perhaps a pram reset? Has anyone else got 'power button sleeps' in system prefs / energy eff. ?

nope it's still dropping / taking 5-10 mins from sleep to pick up a signal

it always reverts back when restarting the mac. I thought the yosemite install had failed because of it - forcing the mac to turn off during install is probably a bad idea!!

no will have a look but I never purchased it in the first place.
