I have updated from a 2016" 15" MacBook Pro to a 2019 16" MBP with 2.3Ghz i9, 32GB RAM, 2TB ssd and 8GB VRAM.
I am so happy.
I had issues with Adobe Premiere being really sluggish, it frequently locked up while working with it. Now it just flows.
The render times are not especially much faster since it seems to use only half of the number of cores, but it does not matter much.
I think clamshell mode seems to run the fan much more frequently than my older model. It can be related to photolibraryd taking 50% cpu all the time the first days though.
