the ones you posted have the same voltage & latency as the Team.

I have used the gskill 1333 in over 30 2011 minis.


sometimes the 4gb sticks and some times the 8gb sticks. only 2 or 3 bad sticks out of 60. I modded about 85 2011 mac minis used around 170 sticks only 4 or 5 bad sticks. so the 2011 mac mini was really good when it came to many types of ram sticks.


the 2010 mac mini was terrible maybe 75 good sticks and 25 bad ones.

the 2009 late model was good 90 out of 100.


my advice is that for now use a place that has a good return policy.

now in a month or 2 if the 2012 is as good as the 2011 then buy for price.



crucial is a good company for ram. just don't pay 150 vs 90 or 100 .

16GB is cheaper directly from Crucial, with proper voltage and latency. I think $82 + tax
 
OWC or Crucial for me. I don't want any hassles with RAM (Been There, Done That).

Crucial got my $$$ this time because 16GB is $82 vs. $115 at OWC. My Mini and RAM arrive tomorrow...

I hear you, have never had a bit of trouble with Crucial, so I'm willing to pay a touch more. Great warranty and return policy, too. My Mini comes tomorrow, my extra RAM next week. ;-)

Now maybe an SSD next ...
 
Live And Learn...

The only time I bought RAM from a supplier other than OWC it took three attempts before I got working chips. I had initially saved 10-15% but by the time the return shipping was paid I was spending the same or more than at OWC.

Standard shipping is free at Crucial. But this time I paid a little extra at Apple and Crucial ($13 and $8.99 respectively...) so I would get the packages within two days; tomorrow is the Big Day.
 
Cheap as chips on crucial even for the 16GB upgrade really, no point in going for anything more than 4GB :D

I'm going for the new Mac Mini probably shortly followed by a 16GB RAM upgrade

I learned the hard way a long time ago to be careful and not to go cheap on RAM for Apple hardware. I get mine from OWC. I may pay slightly more but the piece of mind is worth it.

I believe there's a slight theoretically performance hit from not having same sized sticks - the dual channel or whatever it's called.

Not sure it matters in the real world, RAM is rarely the bottleneck for what most people do.

There are only about 5 RAM manufacturers in the world. Everything else is just rebranded. Just make sure it has a lifetime warranty and meets the tech spec requirements and you'll be fine with most anything. Some would prefer a brand name they know has good customer support should they have an issue but you do pay extra for that (in the price of the RAM itself).

Has anyone received their memory from Amazon? If so, which model(s) did you go with? Just getting ready to place my order.
