I just got some corsair valueselect from newegg, and as soon as i came home i installed it. Woot :p

I've never seen a thread devoted to somebody self congratulating themselves for upgrading RAM before! Kudos, finally we have some variety in topics to discuss, people know how I hate to see a repeat of threads on these boards. Somebody's trying at least.

umm congratulations?

I installed a new battery in my MBP yesterday, ooh and last night I calibrated that same battery! where's my medal? and my parade?

Just ordered 2 gb yesterday from Newegg(proceeds to pat myself on the back). Serious question, is there a big difference going from 1 to 2 gb?

Don't let them poop on your parade...I have 1.256 too, albeit factory installed, but its a termendous difference. Are you thinking about a HD upgrade now?

2gb is the max, so yeah it really is that much.

The guy's excited that he was finally able to upgrade his mac. He just got it a few days ago. I would be too. Maybe he didn't think he could do it. Give the guy a break. I say great job!

What a way to rain on someone's parade...give the guy some props!

Lighten up guys, has it occurred to you that maybe he:

a. Has never cracked open a computer before, so this was a big deal.

b. Has been suffering with too little RAM, and now finally has the speed he was expecting to begin with.

Congrats, man. Enjoy your RAM.
