Hi, all. I wondered if anyone's encountered this one yet. I just updated my iPhone 8+ to IOS 11.1.1. After reboot, my camera app disappeared, and I get a black screen if I try to access the camera through 3rd party apps such as snapchat. Snapchat says it doesn't have access to the camera and when I look at the app restrictions, the camera and facetime are grayed out

Any ideas on causes and solutions to this? I've tried restoring the phone multiple times, hard resets, everything, nothing works and the camera was fine until the update.

They want you to get the X

Seriously tho:
Hard reset ?

Vol up and power hold to apple logo

Then maybe a restore ?

I've restored several times. That's what's so weird about this. It should have reappeared. Seems odd the camera would be broken permanently by a software patch; and I haven't dropped it or done anything other than put it on my desk.

Restore from backup tho or set up as new?

I would try latter the bug could
Be embedded in the backup

If not Ipsw.me and load up an earlier signed firmware like 11.1 while u can to see if that restores camera

Ctrl+restore button and point to file

Good point, I'll try set up as new and if not, I'll try downloading 11.1 again. Thanks
[doublepost=1510288848][/doublepost]Looks like the profile got corrupted when I installed the update. I set up the phone as new and the camera app came back. Gotta love glitchy patches!

Could restrictions have been enabled somehow and camera got set to be restricted?
