I just upgraded to a 16 GS last Tuesday and over the holidays noticed the camera isn't near as good as my old 3g. The shots are very grainy and there is always a "pinkish" hotspot in the middle of the shot. Does anyone else have this issue?
Aside from that the main screen is a bit reddish and it is annoying.
I went back to AT&T yesterday and a girl looked at it for a minute, than asked another girl what the exchange is on an iPhone and the other girl said a 10% restocking fee, then she handed the phone back to me and said Yea, you have to go through Apple, we don't do exchanges on iPhones, once it leaves the store the warrantee is on Apple.
I pointed out that the receipt I had says I can exchange the phone once within 30 days and was told, oh that's only if you upgrade to a different model.
I smell BS. Does anyone here know if AT&T should take my phone back and exchange it or do they really have a policy of once you buy it, it's your problem so go to Apple.
I don't mind going to Apple but they nearest store is about an hour away. That is where I got my first iPhone and I am thinking if I return the bad iPhone to AT&T for a refund would I still get the discounted price if I buy one from Apple later that same day?

Any help would be appreciated (I did search for this but didn't find any previous posts that matched my questions)

If you plan on completely returning it, and cancelling AT&T service, you'll need to go back to the AT&T store within those 30 days. They will charge you a 10% restocking fee, of course. And I think they also charge for the first month (?).

If you just want a replacement iPhone, you should go to Apple, and they will replace it with the same one, but most likely refurbished (Which is as good as new).

Apple don't call them refurbished: rebuild. It's double checked and it's got some new components.

And oh, yes, you should replace it. There's definitely something wrong.

If you are within your 30 days you can exchange the iPhone at AT&T for a brand new phone.
The restocking fee only applies on a flat out return.
Anyone telling you any different is wrong.
After the 30 days are up then yes, you need to go to Apple for repair or swapping the iPhone.
