Upgraded to Mojave 10.14.1 — where has all my storage gone?!

Hey.

I've just upgraded to the latest Mojave 10.14.1 release and was a bit surprised to find that my SSD is only showing that it is 250.69GB (strange number) in size as apposed to the 512GB it actually is, and was, before i updated to macOS 10.14.1.

My system specs:
15inch, 2017
2.8GHz i7
16GB Ram
512GB SSD

I've restarted, run first aid through disk utility and aren't really techy enough to know what I can / should do to fix the problem. Any ideas are much appreciated.

That value is displayed in Disk Utility and in Finder.

Click on the view button and select "show all devices". How many containers do you see listed?
