Quick Question...

I will soon be purchasing a new 15" Powerbook, and I've heard from some other people that they were able to get some of the upgrades at a brick and mortar store. I'm basically just looking to upgrade the HD to a 7200rpm and maybe RAM, but I can always buy more RAM later...I was just wondering if they do actually have some of the upgrades in the stores or if it's just the standard models. Thanks!

all they have is stock configurations....if you want more ram they will add it for you, if they have it. But if you want a faster HD or upgraded video cards on the pb you will have to order it

They have certain configurations in stock. Like when I went to buy my 15" in the summer, all I wanted was upgraded memory and video card. But, because that is something you have to order, I just got what they called the "ultimate," which also came with 100gb HD. So, my guess is that for each modle they have a stock config, and an "ultimate" config.
