How much would it cost to upgrade the 1.83 Ghz Macbook's memory to 1 gig and hardrive to 80 gigs in the store?

Typically you can't do hard drive upgrades on in-store purchases...they'd just order it online for you.

But, according to AppleInsider (referenced by MacRumors here last night), they are now offering the configuration you're looking for in stores. The white one costs $1449, while the black one costs $1599.

well i need the 1.83 bc its cheaper but how much does it cost to upgrade memory and will 60 gig hardrvie be enough?

They can't do HDD upgrades in-store. RAM upgrades will cost what they cost online. (they should, but they could possibly charge a little bit in labour costs)

I don't know how much in-store RAM upgrades will cost.

Hard drive size depends on your needs. The default OS X installation will bring you down to about 40 GB of available space. You can get a good portion of that back if you don't plan on using GarageBand and iDVD and delete the programs and their support files from your computer. Getting rid of extra printer drivers and foreign languages will also save you some.

Why don't you order online to get the exact configuration you want?
