I had to get a 4gb version because they ran out when of the 8 when I was standing in line. Has anyone had any luck paying the $100 and trading it out. I know in the past they had a 14 day return policy.

If its opened you have to pay a restocking fee. Otherwise you are ok.

Save your money, grab a single 8 gig Samsung nram memory module, crack open your 4 gig iPhone, unseat the current chip, simply replace with 8 gig chip. Sell your old 4 gigger as "surplus memory" on ebay and you're only out $30 net! :D
