Upgrading an iMac manually

Okay so I have a 24 inch 2007 iMac (the one with the iPad 1 looking screen with the silver around it) and I have been reading about some people upgrading their macs.

First of all, how possible is it to do this? Can only a few components be upgraded?

Also, I dont care about warranty since mine is not covered anymore. So I would not mind opening it up (obviously I would need to)

RAM is easily upgradeable, HDD is a bit more work.
Go to IFixIt to look at the guides.

Yeah I know the ram is super simple its just underneath, and I am wondering if maybe even just a RAM boost at this point will help the computer a bit.

It's a 2.4GHz intel duo and I have 2GB of RAM.

Im primarily concerned for improving wow play a bit (it already runs pretty decently) but maybe just giving that extra 2 GB will help, because I know WoW specifically is a RAM intensive game. Would the HDD be the only other thing upgradeable?
