I just learned that my Final Cut Pro 6 no longer works after upgrading to High Sierra. I also heard that people have been able to upgrade to Final Cut Pro X for free if they have an earlier version of the software, but my Final Cut Pro 6 was installed from software CDs, not from the app store... is there any way for me to get Final Cut Pro X without having to pay $300?
