upgrading from 1.02 to 1.1.1 question

I have a 1.0.2 iphone with installer and many other 3rd party apps. I only used apptapp to get installer on my iphone so do I have to revirginize my iphone before I restore and upgrade to 1.1.1?
 
just use iNdependence

Just use iNdependence it will do a safe upgrade to 1.1.1 so that you can jailbreak after you upgraded.
