Just in case anyone's considering making the upgrade from a Z3 (the world's first programmable computer), I've calculated the MHz increase you would see.

Z3: 5 Hz

Mac Pro: 4 x 3 GHz = 12 billion Hz

Benefit of upgrading: 11,999,999,995 Hz


(Sorry to perpetuate the MHz myth. And I realize the Mac Pro also has better graphics.)

To translate into MHz terms:

1941 Z3: .000005 MHz

1945 ENIAC: .005 MHz

1977 Apple II: 1 MHz

1984 Macintosh: 8 MHz

1991 Macintosh Quadra 700: 25 MHz

1994 Power Macintosh 6100: 60 MHz

1999 Power Mac G4: 400 MHz

2003 Power Mac G5: 1,600 Mhz

2005 Power Mac G5 Quad: 10,000 Mhz

2006 Mac Pro: 12,000 MHz
