Other Upgrading from 7 Plus 32gb

Hey there,

Thinking of upgrading this year from iPhone 7 Plus 32gb.
I find the prices in Canada for the X under contract to be completely ridiculous (iPhone X was 600$ with a 2 year contract last year). Given the rumours, I was thinking of upgrading to the iPhone XC.
I know I'd lose Portrait mode, but main camera should get an upgrade still no ?
I'd get more storage, Face ID, all for a more reasonable price ?
Am I crazy?

Haha, I get it. But when the iPhone 7 Plus was released, it was the "best" iPhone on the market. It had the second camera (iPhone 7 only one), bigger screen, better battery life, etc.

So in theory I would upgrade from the "best of" 2016 to the "worst" of 2018.

I guess we'll see tomorrow what other differences there are to justify the price of the XS / XS Plus

The Xs will be a premium product. It'll have slightly better features here and there, but the XR should be the best value for money. So it depends if you want to go the luxury route, or cost-conscious route. Either way, any of the phones will be an upgrade from a 7+.

See if you can get the X after tomorrow's events. Rumors are Apple will discontinue the X. That means Bell, Rogers, Telus, Wind, etc will have older inventory to jettison. What is a $600 CAD contract could become a $300-$400 CAD contract.

The X will be much better than the XC because you get OLED tech, a better camera (dual cameras, even if older still has optical zoom and 60 FPS recording), FaceID, new form factor, wireless charging, quick charging, etc.
