I'm halfway through my 24 month contract with O2 and have the opportunity to upgrade after 12 months. Selling the 8GB 3G to Mazuma Mobile will more than cover the cost of the upgrade, but the main issue i have is with my numerous apps. Most notably i use the Navigon Sat Nav app for my business.

Is there a way i can transfer these purchases over to a new 3GS?

you can just set up your 3GS from your backup. Thats what i did when i bought my 3GS. All my apps just transferred over. Gave my 3G to my wife and she uses that as her new phone :)

Although im waiting for the new iphone, forked out the £340 for the 16GB
3GS direct from apple. ;)

Thanks. I'm not waiting for the next iPhone as the current one does everything i need. Only thing i'd like is a bit more battery life. OLED screen would be nice, but i dont genuinely have a need for it.

Of course. Plug in your 3G, sync all your data over through iTunes. Plug in your 3GS and restore from the backup. All your information will automatically be transferred over
