I signed up for the free "find my iPhone" service a while back, but am now thinking to upgrade to the full mobileme - not for email and calendaring, but for the syncing between Macs and the remote access (logmein is failing bigtime)

Is it possible to do this upgrade? I don't see the option anywhere within my account, which seems odd.

I think you may have to sign up again for the MobileMe trial with a new MobileMe email address.

If you are currently registered with a non-Me email, I'm not sure this can support a full account. You should then be able to switch the Find My iPhone app over to the new account.

I just did this today - you basically have to resign up as if you were creating a new account. The free find my iphone account is linked to your a different domain than me.com, so the new one you create will be @me.com.
