Ive been trying for months because downloading the beta was a mistake i admit. I have tried to downgrade to 8 but ive been getting an error. Its been a nightmare. And now the past few days everytime i unlock my iphone and ipad mini it tells ios9 is available and to upgrade but ive not been able to. Its been so frustrating.

I cant take it to the genius bar because the next appointment isnt till Friday. The glitch after unlocking has me pulling my hair out. Should i just walk in? Would they take me? Help!

If you're only on the ios9 beta not the 9.1 if you delete the public profile you should be able to upgrade to iOS9 public release. Settings->General->Profile select the beta profile and choose delete.

You SHOULD currently be able to go back to 8.4.* using DFU mode and an appropriate downloaded iOS version, but any backups that have been done as ios9 cannot be restored. You'd probably be best served sticking with iOS9 now.

Ummm......probably. Did you get your beta through the public beta program?

There's probably ways around this as long you're not on 9.1 (DFU then restore to an IPSW download from 8.4.* then update to iOS 9 then restore your iOS 9 backup) but to be honest that's outside my experience. Have a look at some of the other threads on this, see if there's anything useful there. If not I've no doubt someone more knowledgeable will be able to tell you the steps you need.
