Upgrading from original iPhone to iPhone 4

How much would I save by upgrading versus buying a new iPhone? Can I upgrade through AT&T the first day the new phone is released or do I have to wait? Could I keep the unlimited data plan through an upgrade?

1st Gen iPhone users are entitled to full discounted equipment pricing, in other words $199 for 16GB and $299 for 32GB. Yes, you can keep the unlimited plan, just in a different fashion.

Instead of paying $20/month for data + 200 texts, you will now pay $30 for unlimited data only and texts are additional. Do not let an AT&T rep tell you differently. You are entitled to unlimited data package.
