Hi

Apologies if this has already been covered.

I have a MBP that I bought in Nov 2009 and over the years it has been upgraded to each major release.

I got halfway through re-installing SL (original disc) a few weeks ago and got bored, so the partition has been erased but no OS installed.

What's the best option? Install SL and upgrade to Yosemite OR install SL, create bootable disk with Yosemite and go clean install?

Partition your disk to 2 partitions... Install SL on your main partition, then download Yosemite on the MAS, install it on a second partition... Best of both worlds...

Should you dislike Yosemite: :eek::eek:

1. Fall back to SL readily without much fuss.
2. Feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback
3. Spam Tim's email at tcook@apple.com
4. Welcome to your worst nightmare... :D:D

Thanks

Never considered the two partition idea. Would it present a boot selection screen similar to a Windows dual boot?

I'm sure it's not that bad; I could count on my hands the times I have used this MBP since I bought it...
