Hello all,

I couldn't find any info on this anywhere online so perhaps it's very simple and I'm just being simple.

I have an iMac (mid-2011 12,2) with a 258GB SSD & 1TB HDD installed from factory and I'm going to change out the old HDD for a new SSD. The system boots from the flash and all my documents are kept on the HDD disk.

I've got an OWC kit ready to swap out my existing HDD for a new SSD and I've used Carbon CopyC Cloner to copy my 1TB disk over to the new SSD successfully.

My question is when I install the SSD in place of the HDD will the computer simply recognise this as my usual storage location (as though nothing ever happened) or is there another step I need to take to direct all my software, etc. to this new location.

A lot of my storage is taken up with Logic Pro plugins/VST's etc, which need to access the relevant files to work so I don't want this to break.

Thank you for any help you can offer.
Mike

If it is a clone, and the drive is named the same, it should be completely seamless.
