Hi,

My iphone is unlocked and i am using it in India.I bought it in US (Already unlocked)

I am newbee to this forum and have a few questions for the experts here ?

1. If I upgrade ym firmware to 1.1.1, will my phone be locked again?? If yes how can I unlock it again. I tried a lot find the related stuff but I might not going in right direction.

2. If I upgrade will my data (phonebook, sms, images etc) will be lost ??

3. If I backup my current settings using Itunes, and If i messup can I get back to the same unlocked settings ??

Thanks in advance ...

All answers are on MR. Just search for it. Dozens of people ask these same questions every day.

1. if you do anything to your iphone firmware, the iphone will be locked and have to be unlocked..

2. if you have a copy of your data/ email/ contact on your computer, then it won't be lost. However, you might have to copy the photos taken with iPhone onto your computer if you don't have a mac. (On the mac it syncs photos with iPhoto if you let it).

3. iTunes does not contain your iphone firmware. Backing up iTunes will not make any difference with the unlocking status of the iPhone.
