Hello everyone and thanks in advance for taking the time to look at my post. I need help with my wireless n card on my mac mini.

I bought a wireless N card from ebay so that I could receive a better signal from my Linksys Router. After installing it into my Mac mini the internet speeds were half of what they were with the a/b/g card that came with the Mac originally. Also, my network connection would be lost intermittently and would return after restarting my computer.

Here is my info:

Linksys WRTN160V3 Router
Cable ISP speed up to 23Mbps
I've attached the screenshots for my Mac info and the info from my
original wireless G card.
Here is a link to the card I bought:
The wireless card I bought here.

This is the only G device on my wifi network and it downloads at about 8Mbps. All other devices in my house (Ipad2, Ipad4, Iphone4s, Iphone4, Samsung Laptop(2), and wireless HP printer) run on wireless N cards and the wifi download speed on those devices is about 16Mbps even in the same room as the Mac.

The card uses two antennas.

My recollection is the 2007 mini has only one antenna built-in. Can you confirm how many antennas you connected to the card? (And did you double-check the antenna/s connection/s?)

I recall doing something similar with a three antenna wireless-N card and having two extra antennas hanging out the back of the mini.

The 2007 model had 2. The 2009 has 3.

I only connected one antenna and only have one installed. I didn't know I needed to connect two. I'll have to find another antenna somewhere and try it. Thanks a lot!
