Yes, as long as Mountain Lion is supported on your hardware. Is it feasible to upgrade from mac osx 10.6.x to 10.8.x directly ?
Thanks for replies.
My hardware is mini mac 2009 . Is it possible to upgrade on it ?
Run Software Update to upgrade to 10.6.8. Then purchase Mountain Lion in the Mac App store for $20. Download & Install. It saves all of your data, but have an up to date backup just in case.
Was just curious about this post...
Why it's necessary to upgrade from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8 first ?
What if i run CD directly on 10.6.7 ? My OS will corrupt ?
Key differences
A software update is usually downloadable free of charge; a software upgrade usually is not.
A software upgrade usually increments the first "dot" number of a product (for example Mac OS X v10.6, Mac OS X v10.5); a downloadable software update usually increments second "dot" number (for example, Mac OS X v10.6.8, Mac OS X v10.5.8).
