okay, i'm tired of running on only 512MB and i'm ready to move up to 2GB :)
can't wait to see the difference, i'm thinking of getting the 2 gigs from the link below, it's only $81 for 2GB, is this good RAM for being so cheap?

It is up to your judgement... I don't think anyone could really say. The price of Ram has gone down dramatically from years ago. So I say go for it, it's only $81.

Okay... clicked on the link... go for it... it's crucial.. they make good stuff.

That isn't a bad price, but it isn't the cheapest you can do. From what I've read, crucial has a good reputation.

I've bought from 1-800-4-memory.com the last 3 times with great satisfaction.

if you want crucial ram, new egg has 1 gb sticks for $35 each (after rebate). it's a shame, because they were cheaper earlier in the week ($4.99).

Went from one gig to two, didn't notice much difference. I also went with the Crucial (last month, paid $89).

Never buy cheap ram always go with the good stuff. I bought omni ram and it(1 stick) stopped working right after the 30 days were up.

Maybe you weren't maxing out your RAM and didn't need the extra GB? I guarantee the OP will notice a difference from 512MB to 2GB, even with the most basic tasks.

You're right. You need 1gb for everything to work smoothly. Beyond that, I haven't noticed any difference. Might make a difference with Leopard.

Why do you continue to post this without bothering to read about your own mistake?

You bought from a terrible retailer. Cheap RAM is not bad RAM. Do your homework next time.
