Upgrading memory ram?

Right now my memory ram is 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, Early 2011 ( i Don't have a SSD computer)

Can I upgrade it? How do I upgrade it? Whats the max I can upgrade it to? Where Do i get the ram from? How much would it be? Where can I get it installed?

Your not giving us a lot to go on here. Is your Machine a Mac Pro or some other type of Macintosh? If it is a Mac Pro and is of the 2011 vintage, how many CPUs. If you could go under the Apple on the far left, click on it and then click on the More Info... Box, you'll get something that looks like the attached. If you could grab a screen shot of that and post it, we could help you.

Note - There is no Mac Pro identified as a 2011 model.

This is Mac Pro forum and there is no Early 2011 Mac Pro as mentioned in the previous post, you must be looking for MacBook Pro forum, wrong place here.

• Yes.
• Buy the RAM, Open your Mac, Plug in the RAM, Close your Mac, done.
• I think it's 128GB with the new version of OS X about to release but 32GB and 64GB are popular amounts.
• Buy server RAM from e-bay and don't worry about new or used - there's no difference. For example here is 32GB upgrade kit if your machine is a single processor model. Two of those is a 64GB upgrade if you have a dual processor model.
• The one I listed was $270 plus a few dollars for shipping. And that's about right, $250 to $275 for 32GB is normal. Don't pay for kits which say they are specifically for Apple if they cost any more than that. It's a common scam - don't fall for it.
• Just do it yourself. There are even step instruction on the inside of the MacPro's removable side-panel. It's easy to do. Just plug it in. I guess the guy at the Genius Bar in the Apple store ill do it for you if you really need. I don't trust those guys myself. Most of them look like basement dwelling yuppy-wanna-be's and some of the advice I've heard from them is a little on the nuts-o side.
