iPhone Upgrading my JB iPhone4 on 6.1

Last check before biting the bullet and going to 7*

Is it as simple as
1. Backup;
2. Upgrade.
3. Restore.

Is that it? Do I even need to do (3) or will that happen when I do the upgrade anyway? I upgraded my (non JB) iPad this morning and just accepted all the prompts let it do its thing and its all working.

I have already installed iTunes 11.1

I'm sure this is covered somewhere in here, but I've searched and couldn't find it.If its more complex would welcome a pointer to a guide.

I will deeply miss BiteSMS, but there are things in 7 I want plus an an app I want that wont run on a JB phone. Maybe I'll JB just to get BiteSMS as and when a 7 JB comes out.

Since it's an iPhone 4, you may want to dump your 6.1 SHSH blobs using ifaith (windows only) just in case you want to downgrade back to iOS 6. It isn't hard to do this and once you update and want to go back down to iOS 6 (let's say iOS 7 is very laggy on your device), you can't if you don't have the complete SHSH blob

but that's basically it: backup, and click restore. You might want to transfer purchases and sync as well before you restore

Thanks, didn't need to save any purchases, nothing applicable there.

Went ahead direct to 7.02 slight glitch in the middle of the upgrade when iTunes said it couldn't upgrade & needed to restore, but anyway after whats seemed like 2 or even 3 very slow reboots just clicked "yes" to everything and eventually upgraded, restored data, and all running fine.

A few bits I like, a few bits I don't, I guess the kids colouring book scheme will eventually seem OK, at the moment I expect at ant time a 5 year old to turn up and say "oh theres my phone" and take it.

At this moment would probably JB if a 7.02 JB came out, for two things only;
BiteSMS & 5 icons on task bar.

Apple, fix iMessage. Why no pictures from contacts, why no stored templates?
