Sooo guys I have a Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66. Macs are VERY expensive here in Brazil, and I know I cannot change my crappy Intel 950GMA video card.

So... What else can I do? I've read about people using Core 2 Duo processors, which one is the best I could get for my Mini? The processors aren't that expensive here, but there's the fact that a lot of them use different cache speeds.

Also, with another processor, could I put more RAM in it, since my mini is limited to 2GB (it came with 512MB and I replaced it with 2 after 1 week).

Anyone could tell me which is the best processor I could put in such a machine, since I'm stuck with this stupid video card and answer me if I can use more RAM if I upgrade the processor?

Thanks a lot! :D

My personal opinion is that you would be better off to sell that mini and buy a new one with the faster processor and more memory that you want. While some people do "upgrade" mini's, it seems to me the mini is just not made for easy upgrading. Based on all the posts I have seen on this, it is not easy, not cheap, and certainly not guaranteed. If you are simply a computer hobbyist with extra funds to blow, go for it. Do a Goole search and you'll find some info - just probably not a lot. OTOH, if you use it for more serious things, get a new computer. I spent a lot of money upgrading an old 8600, and now, while it works still, it is little more than a glorified door stop. Again, mho.
