+1 to this. You could also look into the Corsair brand for RAM. I have used corsair 8GB for both my mbp 2011 and mac mini 2011 without any issues so far.

I'm using corsair 16GB (8GBx2) in the Mini and MBP with no problem. I also used the Samsung in the Mini and still use it in the iMac. It's the only stable RAM in the iMac with all four slots occupied.
