Hey,
I own a Macbook Pro 13-inch, Mid 2012, Memory: 4 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
When I click on "Memory upgrade instruction" in my Macbook Pro, it states the following:
"Base memory 4 GB
Maximum memory 8 GB
Memory card specifications - Double Data Rate Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (DDR3) format
- 67.6mm x 30mm (1.18 inch)
- 2 GB or 4 GB
- 204-pin
- PC3-12800 DDR3 1600 MHz type RAM"
I performed a RAM-memory compatibility check with the Crucial RAM-memory tool http://eu.crucial.com/eur/en/compat...e/macbook-pro-(13-inch-and-15-inch,-mid-2012)
Among the recommended compatible memory types, the Crucial RAM-memory tool stated:
"Crucial 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM Memory for Mac
CT3373654
DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 • lead free • halogen free • for Mac
upgrade for Apple MacBook Pro (13-inch and 15-inch, Mid 2012) system."
I consider to upgrade the memory to 16 GB and buy 2 of the following RAM-memory sticks: Crucial SO-DIMM DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL11 8GB (CT102464BF160B)
Will the above specified Crucial memory work in my Macbook, with the manufacturing number CT102464BF160B, even though the Crucial memory tool states a RAM-memory with manufacturing number CT3373654?
If not, what Crucial or maybe even Kingston RAM-memory do you suggest me to buy? Remember, I want to buy 2 memory sticks of 8 GB each to upgrade the RAM-memory to 16 GB.
