iPod Upgrading the bitrate on music.

Hey, im wondering if i upgrade the music i have within itunes with a higher bitrate without ripping it from a CD will i notice a difference between the CD ripped higher bitrate and the internal encoded higher bitrate.

Anyway my main query is if i rip a CD at 128kbps but within itunes i re-encode that to 320kbps will it be as good as ripping the file from the CD at 320kbps

Nope. You cannot add information to a sound file. If you want higher quality you need to re-rip directly from the CD.

No, an uprated 320kbps song will sound the same as the 128kbps version. You can't somehow "add quality" to a low bit rate song by upscaling it.
