My drive using 10.6.6 is going pretty slow, so I've decided to get with the times and upgrade/ update to Mountain Lion.

I wanna ensure I still have all my applications installed, as well as movies and music and such...

If I install it, will it create a new partition and then migrate all my "stuff" to that new partition? I know I should have a backup, and I'm working on that... but I just wanna know how to go about my goal in the best way possible :)

All help is super appreciated!! :apple:

Yes mountain lion will ask you to choose from the number of partitions which you have created on your drive to install mountain lion on anyone of your choice after installations you can easily transfer your stuffs from one place to another. Good Luck for your new OS X and enjoy new features like messages, renaming a file on open windows etc....
