Upgrading the HDD on my Mac mini

Hi all!

I have an early 2009 Mac mini and the 120GB hard drive is starting to get a little cramped. Especially since I'm now keen to get Windows installed on there as well.

So I was hoping to upgrade myself. I've already opened the mini and added memory so I'm confident enough with that.

I just need to know what I need to be aware of when upgrading. For example, will ant 2.5" SATA disk do the trick? I was thinking of this one: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/2148/1...SATA-Hard-Drive/Product.html?searchtype=genre

I'd rather use the 750GB Scorpio Blue, not the 500GB one. But if you're fine with 500GB, you can get faster stuff like the Momentus XT with SSD-Cache or the Scorpio Black, both with 500GB.

Agree with above, but would only add to make sure you upgrade the HDD's speed to like 7200rpm no matter what drive you go for. My 5200rpm drive is the whole bottleneck.
