Upgrading to 2.2 FW on my unlocked 2.0.1 2G iPhone

Hey everyone,

I currently have a 2G iPhone unlocked with T-Mobile on the 2.0.1 firmware. I'd like to upgrade to 2.2 FW, however. Could I just upgrade with iTunes and follow up with QuickPwn to jailbreak/unlock the phone? Is it more complicated than this or will this work fine? Thanks!

That is exactly what you do(upgrade via itunes, and then jailbreak with quickpwn).

You could do that, but I'm not sure if the 2.2 FW will update your modem, which if it does, will render the iPhone "locked".

Again, no baseband change on the 2g iPhone.
