Upgrading to 3.1... How to JB?

I have been silently awaiting blackra1n for a while now, and have totally held off on upgrading my firmware past 3.0. I'm currently on 3.0, and wonder how I should go about upgrading to 3.1 and rejailbreaking my phone. I'm sorry if this is a re-post, as I am somewhat new to the jailbreak scene. I just never saw a reason to upgrade my firmware for no real new features, and lose a perfectly good break . Anyone who knows a direction to point me in, or some help, would be greatly appreciated!!

The basic idea with Blackra1n is you update to official Apple 3.1 or 3.1.2, then use Blackra1n to JB it.

Updating to official 3.1 firmware updates your baseband meaning you cannot unlock your phone to use an un-official sim.

I believe the DevTeam will release a new version of Pwnage Tool to work with 3.1.2 in a few days, it updates you to JB 3.1.2 without updating the baseband.

If you want to just go to 3.1, the Pwnage tool for that is already out.
