I have a Linksys router with can support b/g//n. I am thinking of upgrading my Airport Extreme to the new one which supports AC standard. For this reason I have ordered a Linksys Router which supports AC from Amazon.com. I am in a country which has 220-240 volts standards. This router is from the USA and it supports 120 volts. On the power adapter is written:
INPUT: 120V - 60Hz 0.3A
OUTPUT: 12V 1.0A

The older adapter in my existing router has the following written on it:
INPUT: 100-240V - 1.0A 50-60Hz
OUTPUT: 12V = 2.0A Max 24W
12V = 2.0A

Both routers have 12VDC/CC Power input

Can I use the older adapter with the new router or do I need to buy a converter to convert from 240 to 120v?

That should work fine if both power adapters have the same DC polarity, usually "tip-positive or center-positive" and the plugs are physically the same size (diameter). The polarity should be marked with a graphic symbol on the case showing how it is wired.
