Hi,

Actually have 2 question. Should i upgrade to iOS 13 by phone or should i use iTunes? Which one is safer? (cause i'm already having some reception problems with my xs)
And the second is, does the dark mode help you to save battery or would be worse? Any info on that?

Thank you!! :)

I would do iTunes if you have problems with you’re iPhone because iTunes way it wipes the phone except for your data damn it download the full installer rather then a delta upgrade which upgrades on top of your problems Every major upgrade date to iTunes and put one of t every major upgrade do though iTunes and every miner do OTA on iPhone that’s what I do. And dark Mode saves battery because OLED on a iPhone 7 not so much

Backup photos to Mac from june2019~present, DFU the phone, set up as new iPhone.

Same thing for watch. Will Erase all content & settings and set up as new.

I’m going to move everything off my phone that I want to keep (mainly photos) then DFU it and set up as a new iPhone...
My XS max is showing iOS 13 in software update but when i put it in DFU mode and connected with itunes it shows me to restore and update with 12.4.1...how is that posible?

Always do iTunes via my Mac. Backups are saved on my Synology and doing my family's devices, its just one download. BUT Apple, why does it take hours before your servers present the update via iTunes?

Well, if you want to do it through iTunes, you'll have a wait. So far 13 is only showing up OTA. Many people commenting on this on the iOS 13 release thread.

Itunes said no updates available but OTA had it so I did it that way.
Then I couldn't connect iPHone to iTunes until an update was installed on Mac - I assume that was something until new MacOS changes things.
